The blog section is a publishing platform: personal blogs about Duel Commander, written by players and hosted by the Committee. These guidelines define what we host and how publication works.
Personal spaces, hosted by the Committee
Every blog on this platform is a personal space. Opinions published there belong to their authors and are not official Committee positions. Official communication (rules, banlist, announcements) only ever comes from the Announcements section.
Opening a blog
Blogs open by application. Tell us who you are, what you want to write about, and link something you have written (any language, any format). The Committee reviews applications and answers by email. When accepted, you receive an author account, pick your blog name and handle, and can start writing.
Review and publication
New authors publish through review: you submit a post, an administrator reads it and publishes it, usually within a few days. The review checks the content standards below, not your opinions. Established authors may be granted direct publication over time.
Content standards
- Write about Duel Commander or the surrounding Magic scene. Off-topic personal essays belong elsewhere.
- No harassment, no personal attacks, no discrimination. Criticism of ideas, decks and decisions is welcome; targeting people is not.
- No plagiarism. Quote and credit your sources, including images and decklists.
- Disclose affiliations when relevant (sponsorships, store ownership, tournament organization).
- No paid placement or advertising disguised as content.
Responsibility and removal
Authors remain legally responsible for what they publish. The Committee acts as host and will remove content that is unlawful or breaks these guidelines, and may close blogs after repeated issues. To report a problem with a published post, or to exercise a right of reply, use the contact form; requests are reviewed by the Committee.
Your data
Author accounts store the profile you choose to publish (name, blog name, bio, links, avatar) and your email address for account management. You can ask for your account and profile to be deleted at any time via the contact form; published posts are then unpublished or reattributed with your agreement.
